Anthony Valente

Principal & CEO

MSc., P.ENG., LEED Green Associate

Tony is the Principal of Switch Engineering and has 20 years of experience in construction Project Management, 12 years experience in Engineering Management, Municipal Infrastructure, and Land Development. He is a self-proclaimed "semi-pro" bass player and has enjoyed playing since participating in Battle of the Bands during Engineering Week in university.

Sarah Toogood

Mechanical EIT


Sarah plays a crucial role in the design and project management of mechanical retrofit projects specializing in energy efficiency for commercial and industrial buildings. She is highly involved in business development, research, client engagement, and contractor consultation. Sarah has always been passionate about sports but skiing, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, and acro yoga are all tied as her favourites.

Shlok Srivastava

Design Engineer


Shlok is a Design Engineer at Switch Engineering with experience in HVAC design, energy audits, oil and gas production assessments, and database development and analysis. He has spearheaded multiple innovation projects that revolve around retrofitting commercial buildings with legacy oil and gas assets as a source of alternative energy in communities. In his spare time, Shlok enjoys going camping, hiking, swimming, and loves trying different pasta recipes.  

James Logan

Systems Architect

BSc, Mathematics and Physics

James is a Systems Architect and plays and essential role in software development and systems integration. As a full-stack web developer, he is trained in various programming and markup languages including C, C++, Python, Django, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and Latex. Outside of work, James will be snowboarding, fishing, and hiking. He also has been a steward for 20 years, actively surveying and protecting vulnerable habitats in Alberta.

Graham Seaman

Software Developer

BSc, Computer Science

Graham is on the software integration team as a developer and plays a key roll in the DeCarbon application. Since graduating, he has worked with Python, Django, JavaScript, jQuery, Sever Development, consumer computer hardware, and home networking. Outside of work, Graham enjoys reconfiguring his home network (to the point that businesses would be envious!).

Danielle Everitt

Marketing Coordinator - DeCarbon

BCom, Marketing., DI AACM

Danielle is the marketing coordinator for DeCarbon and executes all marketing functions such as content creation, marketing strategy, branding, and sales. She is passionate about improving access to sustainability options for businesses and intends to pursue a Master of Arts in Environmental Practice. Danielle loves being active in her spare time and loves hiking, skating, and soccer.


DeCarbon allows businesses to easily act towards a sustainable future by participating in the UN’s sustainable development goals of “Goal 12: Climate Action”, “Goal: 11: Sustainable Cities & Communities” and “Goal 7: Affordable & Clean Energy”.
